1 · What this is

IN TRANCE is an Israeli trance and electronic-music knowledge base and archive. It documents artists, releases, labels, genres, national scenes, events and the history of Israeli and global trance and electronic music.

The archive distinguishes between externally sourced data, documented historical sources, first-person testimony and unverified research material. Unverified material is never presented as fact.

IN TRANCE also operates as an event brand in Tel Aviv, founded in 2020. These are two separate things. The knowledge base covers the scene at large; the event brand is described in section 7 and is not the subject of this page.

How is Israeli content different from the rest?

52 Israeli artist pages carry verified Hebrew names alongside Latin names, and the Israeli scene has a dedicated archive and an open research record covering 1989 to 2000.

What is not published here?

Unverified research material, and any total release count, until a single definition of a release is agreed.
